Free entry route

Every paid competition has a free entry route by post - no purchase required. Full details below.

Your legal right

In accordance with UK competition law, a free entry route is available for every prize draw we run. Free postal entries are subject to exactly the same draw conditions as paid online entries and have an equal chance of winning. A correct answer to the skill-based question is still required.

How to enter by post

  1. 1

Write your details on a postcard or plain piece of paper

Include your full name, home address, date of birth, and email address.

  2. 2

State the competition name and your skill question answer

Write the exact name of the competition you wish to enter and your answer to the skill-based question printed on that competition's page. A correct answer is required - this is a legal requirement that applies equally to paid online entries.

  3. 3

Post to our free entry address

Send your entry to our dedicated free entry address:

  4. 4

One entry per envelope, per person, per competition

Multiple entries submitted in a single envelope will be disqualified. You may enter multiple competitions by posting a separate envelope for each.

  5. 5

    Allow sufficient time for delivery

Postal entries must be received no later than 5 days before the advertised draw date. We cannot accept responsibility for entries lost or delayed in the post. We recommend allowing at least 7 days from posting.

Frequently asked questions

Are my chances the same as someone who paid for tickets?

Yes. Every valid free postal entry is assigned a unique ticket number and entered into the draw on exactly the same terms as paid entries. The random number generator does not distinguish between paid and free entries.

Do I need to buy anything to enter?

No. The free postal entry route exists precisely so that no purchase is necessary. This is a legal requirement under UK competition law and we take it seriously.

What skill-based question do I need to answer?

Each competition has its own skill-based question, displayed clearly on the competition's entry page. The question is always straightforward - for example, a simple arithmetic problem.

Can I enter multiple competitions by post?

Yes. Post a separate envelope for each competition you wish to enter. Each envelope may contain one entry for one competition.

How will I know if I've won?

We will contact you by email and phone within 24 hours of the draw using the details you provided in your postal entry. Make sure to include a valid email address and phone number.

What if my postal entry arrives after the closing date?

Entries received after the closing date cannot be included in the draw. We recommend posting well in advance and cannot accept responsibility for postal delays.
