- 01
Sign up and verify you are 18
Create a free account. We ask for your name, email, date of birth, and a UK postcode so we can confirm you are a UK resident aged 18 or over. Two-minute signup, no card on file.
- 02
Choose a competition
Browse every active Pokémon TCG competition. Each card shows the prize, the ticket price, the draw date, and how many tickets are still available. Pick the one you want.
- 03
Answer the skill question and pay
Every competition includes a Pokémon-related skill question. You answer it and pay the published ticket price by card through our payment processor (Apple Pay and Google Pay accepted). Your payment is taken whether or not your answer is right, and only entries with the correct answer go into the draw. The skill question is what qualifies each competition as a prize competition under UK law.
- 04
Tickets revealed instantly
Ticket numbers are allocated to you at random from the unsold pool the moment payment confirms. You see them on the confirmation page, in your order email, and on your account dashboard. No waiting, no manual claim step.
- 05
Verified draw, recorded
On the published draw date we run the draw with a verified random number generator. The seed and eligible-ticket list are recorded in our internal audit log. If your ticket is drawn we contact you by email and phone within 24 hours and arrange tracked, signed-for delivery to your UK address.
GlassBox Draws
Every draw on Choose You Raffles is decided by a deterministic, recomputable calculation: we take a random 32-byte seed and feed it through HMAC-SHA256 to pick the winning ticket from the eligible pool. We call this system GlassBox because we publish everything you need to repeat the calculation yourself.
The moment a draw runs we generate a fresh 32-byte seed with crypto.randomBytes(). A competition can only be drawn once, so the seed is fixed the instant it is created, then published in full on the draw audit record.
Only paid and postal tickets whose skill-question answer was correct enter the draw. We publish the full list of eligible ticket numbers, sorted in order, so you can see the exact pool the winner was drawn from.
After each draw, the audit record publishes the seed, the full eligible-ticket list, the algorithm, and the winning number. No login required. Anyone can recompute the winner: derive an index from the seed with HMAC-SHA256 and read it off the sorted pool. If it matches the published winning number, the draw was fair and we could not have steered it.
Common questions, honest answers.
