Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2026-05-27.

1. Operator

Choose You Raffles is operated by Choose You Raffles LTD, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC890793). Contact us at info@chooseyouraffles.co.uk. By entering any competition on this website you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy.

2. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • Promoter means Choose You Raffles LTD, trading as Choose You Raffles.
  • Entrant means a person who submits one or more Entries to a Competition.
  • Competition means a single prize competition listed on the Website, identified by its title, prize, ticket price, draw date, and Skill Question.
  • Skill Question means the multiple-choice question of skill or knowledge published on each Competition page, which the Entrant must answer correctly for their Entry to be eligible.
  • Entry means one ticket purchased and validated by a correct answer to the Skill Question.
  • Ticket means the unique number assigned to an Entry from the pool published for that Competition.
  • Draw means the verified random selection of one Ticket per Competition on or after the published draw date.
  • Prize means the goods described on the relevant Competition page.
  • Website means chooseyouraffles.co.uk and any subdomain operated by the Promoter.

3. Eligibility

Entries are open to natural persons aged 18 or over who are resident in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland), the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man. We may require proof of age, identity, and address before issuing a Prize. Employees of the Promoter, members of their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected with administering a Competition are not eligible to enter.

4. Entry method

There are two ways to enter a Competition. The Skill Question is what qualifies each Competition as a prize competition, and it applies to both routes equally. Each Competition on this Website is a prize competition under the Gambling Act 2005 section 14(5) skill exemption, which falls outside the licensing remit of the Gambling Commission, and we are not licensed by the Gambling Commission.

  • Paid entry: register an account, pay the published ticket price per Ticket, and answer the Skill Question correctly. Your Ticket number(s) will be confirmed on screen and emailed to you.
  • Free postal entry: you may enter any Competition free of charge by post, with no purchase necessary. Full instructions and the postal address are on our free postal entry page. A postal entry requires a registered account and a correct answer to the Skill Question, the same as a paid entry.

Free postal entries are pooled together with paid entries for each Competition and carry identical odds of winning the Draw. A postal Ticket is allocated and treated in exactly the same way as a paid Ticket once received and validated.

5. Skill question

Every Entry requires the correct answer to the Skill Question shown on the relevant Competition page. The Skill Question is a genuine test of knowledge of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Incorrect answers are not eligible to win and are non-refundable. You may attempt the Skill Question once per Ticket. Multiple Tickets purchased in a single order share the same Skill Question attempt.

6. Ticket allocation and the draw

Each valid Entry is assigned a unique Ticket number at the time the Entry is confirmed. Ticket numbers are allocated at random from the pool of unsold numbers for that Competition. The winning Ticket is drawn on or after the published draw date using a cryptographically secure random number generator (Node.js crypto). The seed value, the eligible-tickets list, and the result for every Draw are recorded in our internal audit log and available on written request to info@chooseyouraffles.co.uk.

7. Prizes

Prizes are exactly as described on the relevant Competition page. Prize images are illustrative. No cash alternative will be offered. Prizes are non-transferable. We may substitute a Prize of equal or greater value if the original Prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside our reasonable control. Prizes are delivered to addresses in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, or Isle of Man only, tracked and signed-for, at no cost to the winner.

8. Winner notification and claim window

We will contact the winner by email and (if provided) phone within 24 hours of the Draw. The winner has 14 days from the first notification attempt to confirm receipt and provide a valid delivery address. If we cannot reach the winner within 14 days, or the winner declines the Prize, we reserve the right to redraw from the remaining eligible Tickets. The result of any redraw is recorded in the same audit log as the original Draw.

9. Winner publicity

By entering a Competition you consent to us publishing your first name, last initial, town or city, winning Ticket number, and Draw date on the Winners page and in operational communications to other Entrants. We will not publish your full surname, full address, photograph, or any other identifying detail without your separate written consent. You may ask us to withhold publication of any of the above by emailing us before the Draw.

10. Cancellations and refunds

Entries are non-refundable once confirmed. If we cancel a Competition for any reason, all paid Entrants receive a full automatic refund to the original payment method within 14 calendar days. As a prize competition under the Gambling Act 2005, statutory distance-selling cooling-off rights do not apply to confirmed Entries.

11. Responsible play

If you feel your competition spending is becoming a problem, free confidential support is available from BeGambleAware (begambleaware.org) and GamCare (gamcare.org.uk, helpline 0808 8020 133).

12. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Scots law. Subject to that, our total liability to any Entrant in respect of any Competition is limited to the value of the Prize for that Competition.

13. Force majeure and competition cancellation

We may suspend or cancel a Competition if events outside our reasonable control prevent us from running or fulfilling it, including supplier failure, supply-chain disruption for the Prize, payment-provider outage, regulatory intervention, or major service-provider outage. In any such case, paid Entrants receive a full automatic refund per clause 10.

14. Promotional code of practice

Choose You Raffles operates in line with the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators (effective 20 May 2026) as our operating floor, even though our skill-question posture sits outside the Code’s mandatory scope.

15. Trademark notice

Pokémon, Pokémon Trading Card Game, and all related names, marks and logos are trademarks of Nintendo, Game Freak and The Pokémon Company. Choose You Raffles is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokémon Company. We use the “Pokémon” mark descriptively, to identify the trading-card-game products that form our Prizes.

16. Personal data

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By entering a Competition you confirm you have read and accept the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. Data-protection complaints follow our data-complaints procedure.

17. Account suspension and disqualification

We may suspend or close an account, void Entries, or withhold a Prize where we reasonably believe an Entrant has breached these Terms, attempted to enter on behalf of another person, used stolen payment details, or otherwise engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour. Where Entries are voided for any of these reasons, payments are forfeit.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified to registered customers by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Changes do not apply retroactively to Entries already confirmed under the previous version of these Terms.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or any Competition is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
